FUN FRIDAY – AND A FUN WAY TO MEMORIZE!
We all say it – kids know more about technology than adults – and they enjoy exploring apps on their iTouch, iPhone or iPad – or the computer itself.
Why not get a memo app? The one I have is Audio Memos and it’s a free download.
Within a couple minutes of downloading, I had already recorded – not a memo – but a verse that I’m learning for work (we do that at Awana, you know – memorize verses). How fun for your kids. Each week record the verses they are learning on your phone (or other device). Or have them record the verses themselves. Then in the car or while they’re waiting for supper, etc., they can play the verse back and see how well they do saying the verse with the recording.
And you – the adult? Many of us keep our smart phones by our bed at night, right? Let’s say you’re reviewing the verses YOU’RE memorizing over in your head as you go to sleep – but you forget a word. How convenient to pick up your phone, click on the app and listen to yourself say the verse!
A good idea all around.
